Transmission Line Theory Articles

The following article derives the method that I am now using to model the acoustic response of loudspeaker enclosures. The article contains eight sections, saved in "pdf" format, for ease of reading and downloading.

  1. Introduction

  2. Construction and Measurement of a Simple Test Transmission Line

  3. A Mathematical Model for an Expanding Fiber Damped Transmission Line

  4. The Calculation Algorithm

  5. Derivation and Correlation of the Viscous Damping Coefficient

  6. Advanced Transmission Line Modeling Techniques

  7. Conclusions

  8. References

Additional articles on Transmission Line theory and design.

The Satori Transmission Line Project generated a lot of test data and accompanying analyses during the build. It was also used as a test bed for experimentation by taking advantage of the threaded rod and nuts method of assembly, it can be taken apart and easily internally modified. The following are a series of presentations, and placeholders for future presentations, that will document ongoing work using this transmission line build. This list will be continually updated as new ideas for study or interesting results are identified.

If you have any questions or suggestions about the documentation, I would be interested in hearing your comments.
